Advance German Copy

I just received an advance copy of the German book, and I assure you that it looks AWESOME. I can’t post the images online until Piper (the German publisher) goes live with their catalog, but I’ll bring the book to CONduit this weekend so everyone can see take a peek. In the meantime, I’m sure Steve can entertain you by bragging about how he’s already seen it.

I never brag. I only tell truths (most of the time). Personally, I think it blows the UK cover away while, yet, being similar. You guys will love it. It makes me nervous for the US cover. I hope it is as good as the foreign ones (a direct english port of the german cover would be fabulous).

I’ll be in SLC this week, so we’ll see if I can manage to get to CONduit. *crosses fingers*

    Ooooh. Shinies.

    Seriously, though, that’s awesome. :D

after you guys see it, you will have to let me know if you got the same impression i did: that words look even creepier in the german language…

i have definitely decided german is the creepiest look written language on the planet.

my question is what would you all like to see on the US cover of the novel? i personally feel the UK cover is too YA.

I’ll agree with Steve in that the UK cover is too YA, but it doesn’t necessarily bother me. I’m interested to see what the German cover looks like, just for a reference. Once I see the German one, then I’ll be able to get an idea of what the US cover should look like. When do you think Piper will “go live,” Dan?
